1. Start Date (January 2021)

      As the new version of school is ramping up, we also know that Awana typically starts ramping up as well. Our Awana team and pastoral staff have been praying, waiting, planning for the best option going into this new season. In order to keep our families aware and informed, here is what we know as of now, and where we feel the Lord is leading. Until we get a grasp on what our Sunday morning ministries will look like, we don't feel that it's wise to start both ministries at the same time. Therefore, we will be delaying our typical September start date to the beginning of January. Although that seems like a concrete date, we know that things could change rapidly for the better or for the worse. We'll be assessing these plans on a monthly basis and will keep you posted if things change.

2. Sunday Focus
      Sunday morning ministries are our primary focus. As we try to navigate the effects of COVID-19 by working with our volunteer teams and families involved, we feel that the best plan of action is to minister to you on the weekend first. Our team will be continuing with our online experience every Sunday. This last Sunday was our second outdoor kids' program, and we hope to continue that until we are able to transition inside. We'd love to see you there!

3. At Home Engagement
      We are well aware that this school year will bring many challenges and many hard decisions for you as a family. Our desire is not to add to those challenges but to be a source of encouragement. That being said, if you would still like to engage with your kids spiritually by using the Awana curriculum and going through your child's handbook, we want to continue providing those resources to you. Within a few weeks, we'll send out a sign up for your new handbooks. Grace Kids would like to make those available to you for free if you'd like to participate with the "At Home" portion. Memorizing the Word of God WITH your kids couldn't be more important!

4. Grand Prix / Past Awards
      Please hang on to your Grand Prix cars. Even though we will not be able to put on a race this year, we will make sure to incorporate all the cars that were purchased and put together for the next scheduled race. (Don't worry - we'll invite the current 6th-grade students to come back for one night only to participate!)
      Also, we will be providing a system for all families to get any awards earned last spring if you turned in a form in April. Hopefully, those will be ready mid-September.
